I moved Rostrinucula to the Gumball Border Garden, Ogon Acorus to the Ornamental Grasses Border along with Blue Dart Juncus. Cryptomeria 'Araucarioides' was looking bad so I potted it up but it was dead.

Planting and transplanting

Planted Buddleja salviifolia and Aralia spinosa in the Gumball Border Garden. Planted Aster Wonder of Staffa in the Five Trees Garden. I moved Cheyenne Panicum and Moudry Pennisetum to the Ornamental Grasses Border where I also planted the leftover irises from last autumn, Gold Bar Miscanthus and White Cloud Muhly grass. I weeded the bed and mulched it.

Mowed and edged all lawns.

Herbicide

10 gallons of roundup for the whole garden today. First time this season.

Made a raised bed from bricks and planted Actinidia arguta 'Silver Lining' in the Wild Or Wacky garden.

I planted Cestrum parqui in the Pool Lawn Border along with Tagetes lemmonii and Hibiscus Fireball. I moved White Mischief Salvia to the Screen Porch Garden and planted Corymbose Deutzia in the Big Trees and Birds garden.

I planted Persian Lace Parrotia in the Triangle Island Garden and Scabiosa Beaujolais Bonnets in the Octagonal Perennial Garden. I potted up the tropicals and made one pot with Aptenia and Calypso Oleander, one with Variegated Tapioca, Batface Cuphea and Cape Plumbago, and separated the Bird of Paradise, planting one clump behind the conservatory. I separated the Cavendish Banana and planted one in the One Of Everything garden and one in the Helipad And Tiers garden.

Not exactly pesticide, more prevention. Put netting all around the pool fence to keep rabbits out.

I planted the spare Baccharis angustifolia by the Pool Fence to keep the deer out and tree formed a Wisteria Amethyst Falls and planted it in the Gumball Border Garden.

I planted Forestiera in the one of everything garden, moved gold breeze miscanthus to the gofl course hedge, planted Houstonia in the Triangle Island Garden, planted Sabatia in the Around The Pool garden along with Eryngium pandanifolium, Crinum Summer Nocturne in the Pool Lawn Border with Coreopsis major that I moved from the Octagonal Perennial Garden and Cuphea micropetala from the In Between Garden (the deer were eating them both), Pittosporum heterophyllum variegatum in the Helipad and Tiers garden along with Cuphea glutinosa.

Moving plants

Moved the second Carissa Holly from the Golf Course Hedge to the Mail Box Garden. Moved some Catlin's Giant Ajuga from the Mail Box Garden to the Hide The Hydrant garden and One Of Everything garden. Moved two Dianthus from the Mail Box Garden to the Five Trees Garden.

Insecticide and hardscape

Used systemic insecticide on Lespedeza and False Bush Clover plus Yuccas. Added the remaining four blocks to the retaining wall by the swamp cypress.

Planting and transplanting

Planted Lantana from the conservatory in the Big Trees Garden and Golf Course Hedge and the Sago Palm in the raised bed in the Camellias and More garden. Potted up Cave Hill Cypress which is having trouble leafing out. Moved Pennisetum Cheyenne from CAM to Blue Bird Perennials. Plant Coral Reef Elephant Ear in the Daylily Fountain Garden. Potted up Cinnamomum which looked very bad from fertilizer burn? Planted White Mexican Sage in the Screen Porch Garden and Variegated Mexican Sage in CAM. Planted King of Hearts Bleeding Heart, White Bleeding Heart and 3 pink Bleeding Hearts in the Front Foundation Hedge along with Helleborus foetidus, Rohdea japonica and 8 Frieda Hemple Caladiums.

Planting and deer prevention

I planted Indigofera heterantha in the Big Trees and Birds garden along with Hardy Pink Oleander and Catesby's Gentian and Corallina Compacta Barberry in the Turret Front Garden. I moved Rigoletto Miscanthus from there to the Golf Course Hedge and potted up Diervilla which looked dead ?fertilizer burn? I planted Whipcord Thuja in the Triangle Island Garden. I installed deer fences around the new trees.

I planted Yucca rostrata, Giant Elephant Ears, and Rhubarb Elephant Ears in the Blue Bird Perennials garden, Chitalpa in the Abelias And More garden, Heptacodium in the Wild Or Wacky garden, Red Neck Girl Salvia in the Big Trees and Birds garden, and Variegated Confederate Jasmine from the Hide The Hydrant garden to the Pool Lawn Border. I transplanted Mr. Spock to the One Of Everything garden since he was coming back from the roots, not variegated. I planted Old Blush Rose in the OOE garden and moved Starburst Miscanthus to the Golf Course Hedge. I potted up Dyckia and installed the pot in the Turret Front Garden. I finished liming the rest of the garden and fertilized all the lawns.

Fertilizer

Limed half the garden, fertilized half the garden. Spread some pine straw.

PKP plant sale

Dug up grasses, Muhly and Adagio for PKP sale and got plants ready.

Planting

Planted 4 red Verbena in the garden by the Pond Cypres and 3 green and golds with teh Berberis Replicata. Also dug up Cannas for the PKP sale.

Planted 6 purple verbena in the Hide The Hydrant garden and 2 Helleri in there also. Moved ajuga to that garden. Moved 3 Dianthus to the Five Trees Garden. Planted 3 Rhodophiala bifida in the Triangle Front Island raised bed.
